In 2021, Hotel Klippen was taken over by the couple Jannie and Martin Buch Thorborg  who in the coming time will do their part to make it the best hotel on Bornholm:

Near the hotel is the sea, nature, and a fantastic view of the Baltic Sea and Gudhjem, both from our large terrace, the restaurant and in most of the rooms you can enjoy the same sea view of the Baltic Sea.

Hotel Klippen is a 3-star hotel, located in the north of Bornholm and is the perfect setting for an adult holiday and a fantastic starting point for an active holiday, with hiking, sightseeing or romance.

At the hotels restaurant, we serve breakfast with a focus on Bornholm organic products and a really good cup of tea or coffee.

And in the bar we serve good cold wines, local beers from Svaneke Bryghus, cocktails and our delicious espresso-based coffees that can be enjoyed on the hotels terrace. In Gudhjem and on Bornholm there are also many other delicious places to eat, for every taste and budget.

Parking at the hotel

Bornholm and especially Gudhjem are popular destinations on car holidays, especially during the holiday and summer period. It is therefore advisable to park the car in one of the citys large car parks and walk the 500 meters down to the hotel.

The northern part of Bornholm offers a wealth of nature experiences, hikes. Bornholm offers e.g. on the most delicious beaches, Denmarks largest waterfall in Døndalen, gourmet food, cozy smokehouses or a day trip to Denmarks easternmost point on Christiansø.

  • Is there parking at the hotel?
    Yes - "Hotel Klippen" has private parking with 15 free parking spaces. It is not possible to reserve a place. Should all spaces be taken, you can park for free at the petrol station or in the large car park close to Brugsen. If you live near "Klippen by", you have the option of staying in the marked stalls on public roads, the free spaces at the petrol station/Brugsen or against payment at the harbour.
  • How much does an overnight stay on Bornholm cost?
    Hotel Klippen's rooms start at 990 for a single room, one day. Use the booking function above to get an exact price for your stay on Bornholm. Are you in a large group traveling together or need a low price accommodation you can visit our other hotel: Therns Hotel in Gudhjem
  • Is breakfast included in the hotel stay?
    Yes - Breakfast is included in the room price. The hotel's restaurant (Café Plateau) serves a delicious breakfast every morning with a focus on Bornholm and organic products, as well as a really good cup of tea, or our delicious espresso-based coffee that can be enjoyed on the hotel's terrace. Breakfast is served in the restaurant between 7:00 and 10:00. Note that guests who live at "Klippen By" have a nice little walk up to the restaurant. See more about breakfast at the hotel here
  • Is there a sea view in the room?
    There is a sea view in most of Hotel Klippen's rooms. This will appear from the text in the booking.
  • Can you buy gift cards for the hotel?

  • Are dogs allowed in the hotel?
    No, unfortunately pets such as dogs and cats are not allowed in the hotel.
  • Can you buy an extra bed in the room?
    Unfortunately, our rooms are not suitable for extra beds due to their size. We recommend that you book our family room or 2 rooms next to each other. Write to info@hotelklippen.dk and we will help you with which rooms to choose, so you are sure that they lie next to each other
  • How do you get to Gudhjem and Hotel Klippen?

  • Does Hotel Klippen have a reception?
    Yes, we have a reception in the shop "Førder" which is located right between "Klippen and "Klippen By". The address of the reception is Brøddegade 28, 3760 Gudhjem. The reception is open 10:00 - 17:00 and 10:00 - 21:00 (summer holidays) You also always have the option to write to us at info@hotelklippen.dk - We always try to respond quickly.
